Booking Protection & Insurance

Booking protection is accident cover that ApnaChowk intends to arrange for both the worker and the employer, for the duration of a booked job, through a licensed insurance partner. It is not in place today. No cover is arranged for any booking made through ApnaChowk, no protection fee is charged, and no insurance partner has been appointed. This page describes what we are working towards, and it will be updated with the actual terms before any protection applies to a booking.

• No cover is active on any booking. Confirming a booking on ApnaChowk does not activate accident cover for either party.
• No protection fee is charged. Nothing is collected at the time of booking for insurance, and no such charge forms part of the price of a booking.
• No insurance partner has been appointed. ApnaChowk has not entered into any arrangement with a licensed insurer for booking protection.
• Nothing on this page is a promise of cover. If protection is offered in future, this page will state who provides it, what it covers, and what it costs, before it applies to any booking.

Nothing is covered today. There is no policy in force for bookings made through ApnaChowk, so there is no coverage, no sum insured, and no exclusions to describe.

• Worker — no accident cover is provided or arranged by ApnaChowk during a booked job.
• Employer — no cover is provided or arranged by ApnaChowk in relation to an accident occurring during a booked job.
• There is no insurer policy document to link to, because there is no policy.

Please read this part carefully, because it matters:

• ApnaChowk does not provide, sell, or distribute insurance, and is not engaged in the business of doing so.
• Responsibility for a safe and lawful working arrangement rests with the worker and the employer. ApnaChowk is not an employer, contractor, or party to any work arrangement formed through the platform.
• ApnaChowk does not pay claims. There is no claims process to run and no arrangement under which ApnaChowk would meet the cost of an accident.
• If protection is arranged in future, it will be subject in all respects to the insurer's policy terms, conditions, and exclusions, and those terms will be published here before the protection applies to any booking.

There is no insurance claim to make, because no cover is in force. If an incident occurs during a booked job, tell us through our grievance process, and seek medical or legal help as the situation requires. ApnaChowk cannot compensate you for injury or loss.

Because no cover is arranged, ApnaChowk does not share your booking information with any insurer. If that ever changes, we will say so here and in our Privacy Policy first, and any sharing would happen only with your consent and only for that purpose.
